When we talk about Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, we often focus on his life after revelation. But even before Allah chose him as His final Messenger, Muhammad ﷺ was already known for qualities that every young Muslim can learn from.
He was honest, trustworthy, humble and known for his excellent character. The people of Makkah called him Al-Amin—the trustworthy one.
Imagine living in a society where many people were involved in injustice and idol worship, yet you remained known for your good character.
That teaches us something important: your environment does not have to determine who you become.
As a young person, you may be surrounded by friends who lie, cheat, gossip, engage in haram relationships, or follow every trend on social media. But being surrounded by something does not mean you have to become part of it.
The Prophet ﷺ showed that you can be different without being arrogant. You can be respected without compromising your values.
WHAT CAN TODAY’S YOUTH LEARN?
1. Build your character before your reputation.
People may forget what you post online, but they will remember whether you were honest, kind and trustworthy.
2. Don’t follow the crowd blindly.
Being popular is not more important than pleasing Allah.
3. Start becoming the person you want to be now.
You don’t have to wait until you are older before developing good habits.
4. Your youth is valuable.
The choices you make today can shape the person you become tomorrow.
HEART CHECK
Before Muhammad ﷺ became a Prophet, he was already known for his beautiful character.
So ask yourself: If people described me without mentioning my appearance, wealth or social media account, what would they say about my character?
Build a character that makes people trust you—and more importantly, a character that pleases Allah.
