SPIRITUAL DIGEST: RAMADAN DAY 8 (A DU’A FROM SURAH IBRAHIM)
By: Ajape Sefiu A., Adedeji Monsurat A.
The spiritual digest for the 8th day of Ramadan is a powerful Du’a from Surah Ibrahim (14:38), highlighting Allah’s complete knowledge of all things—both hidden and revealed.
It serves as a reminder that nothing escapes His awareness, whether in our hearts, on earth, or in the heavens.
Rabbanaa innaka ta‘lamu maa nukhfi wa maa nu’lin; wa maa yakhfaa ‘alal laahi min shai’in fil-ardi wa laa fis samaa’
O our Lord! Verily, You know what we conceal and what we disclose. And nothing is hidden from Allah in the earth or in the heaven.
This verse is part of the du’a (supplication) of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham, peace be upon him) when he was praying to Allah after leaving his wife Hajar and son Ismail in the barren valley of Makkah. Despite the apparent difficulty of the situation, he expressed full trust in Allah’s wisdom and knowledge.
