REGULARITY WITH THE QURAN

Love for the Qur’an begins with sincere intention, but it is strengthened and preserved through consistency.

During Ramadan, many believers reconnect with the Mushaf. Pages are turned daily, recitation increases, and hearts soften. Yet the real objective is not temporary engagement  it is lifelong companionship with the Book of Allah.

Allah describes the Qur’an as:

“A blessed Book which We have revealed to you, that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded.”
Surah Sad 38:29

Reflection requires repetition. Depth requires regular exposure. A relationship with the Qur’an cannot thrive on occasional enthusiasm; it grows through disciplined continuity.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ emphasized this principle clearly:

“The most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are consistent, even if they are small.”
Sahih al-Bukhari 6465; Sahih Muslim 783

Ramadan trains us in regularity. We fast daily. We pray nightly. We control our tongues consistently. The same structured discipline should apply to the Qur’an.

Instead of setting unrealistic targets that collapse after Eid, establish a sustainable framework:

• A fixed daily portion even one page after Fajr.
• A dedicated time for reflection  even five minutes.
• Listening to recitation during commute or routine tasks.
• Memorizing one short passage weekly.

Consistency creates fluency. Fluency builds attachment. Attachment deepens love.

The Qur’an is not a seasonal text. It is guidance for every decision, every hardship, every transition in life. When Ramadan ends, the need for guidance does not end.

If Ramadan ignited your connection, protect that flame. Do not measure success by how much you completed this month. Measure it by whether you continue next month.

Let this Ramadan mark the beginning of a stable, structured relationship with the Qur’an  one built on sincerity, discipline, and devotion.

May Allah make the Qur’an the spring of our hearts, the light of our chests, and the remover of our worries.
