SAUDI ARABIA BEGINS EARLY WATER PREPARATIONS FOR HAJJ 2027
As part of proactive preparations for the upcoming Hajj 1448 AH (2027) season, Saudi Arabia’s National Water Company (NWC) has conducted its first operational trial at the Holy Sites.
The exercise is aimed at testing the readiness and efficiency of water supply systems ahead of the arrival of millions of pilgrims for the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
The operational trial forms part of Saudi Arabia’s wider preparations to ensure that essential services and infrastructure at Makkah, Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah are fully prepared to meet the needs of pilgrims during the Hajj season.
Through early testing and technical assessments, authorities can identify potential challenges, evaluate the performance of facilities and make necessary improvements well ahead of the pilgrimage.
The preparations highlight the Kingdom’s continued focus on strengthening infrastructure and essential services at the Holy Sites to support the safety, comfort and wellbeing of pilgrims.
With Hajj 1448 AH still months away, the early commencement of operational preparations signals the scale of planning required to accommodate the large number of pilgrims expected to perform Hajj in 2027.
Hajj preparations begin long before the pilgrims arrive.
