But if you intentionally follow beneficial Islamic reminders, educational content, inspiring stories, and positive influences, your feed can become a source of encouragement and growth.

NOT EVERYTHING VIRAL IS TRUE
One of the biggest mistakes people make is believing that popularity equals authenticity.
A video with millions of views can still contain misinformation.
A widely shared Islamic quote may not be an authentic hadith.
A confident speaker is not automatically a qualified scholar.
Islam teaches believers to verify information before accepting or sharing it. This principle is even more important in an age where false information spreads faster than the truth.
Always ask:
- Is this authentic?
- What is the source?
- Does it agree with the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah?
- Have qualified scholars explained this matter?
Protect your faith by seeking reliable knowledge.
DON’T SEEK PEOPLE’S APPROVAL OVER ALLAH’S
Social media encourages people to chase likes, followers, comments, and recognition.
While there is nothing wrong with creating beneficial content, a Muslim should never allow public approval to become the reason for doing good.
Ask yourself:
- Would I still perform this good deed if no one knew about it?
- Am I posting to inspire others or to impress them?
- Am I seeking Allah’s pleasure or people’s praise?
Sincerity is one of the greatest acts of worship, and it begins in the heart.
USE YOUR PLATFORM RESPONSIBLY
Every Muslim with a social media account has influence, whether they have fifty followers or fifty thousand.
Before posting, ask yourself:
- Will this benefit someone?
- Will this encourage goodness?
- Could this hurt another person?
- Would I be comfortable seeing this post on the Day of Judgment?
Your online presence is part of your record of deeds.
Every post, comment, and message carries responsibility.
DON’T LET THE INTERNET STEAL YOUR TIME
Many people complain that they have no time to read the Qur’an or attend Islamic classes, yet they spend hours scrolling through content that they barely remember the next day.
Time is one of Allah’s greatest blessings.
Imagine if you replaced just thirty minutes of mindless scrolling each day with:
- Reading the Qur’an.
- Learning a new hadith.
- Listening to a beneficial lecture.
- Making dhikr.
- Spending quality time with your family.
Those small daily choices can transform your life over the course of a year.
BE A SOURCE OF GOOD
The internet needs more Muslims who promote honesty, mercy, knowledge, and wisdom.
Instead of contributing to arguments, insults, and negativity, strive to be someone who spreads beneficial reminders, encourages good character, and inspires hope.
You do not have to become famous to make a difference.
One sincere reminder, one act of kindness, or one truthful post may reach someone at the exact moment they need it.

The Qur’an should shape your opinions.
The Sunnah should guide your behaviour.
Your taqwa should determine what you watch, what you post, what you share, and what you leave behind.

As you go through this week, make a conscious decision to use social media as a tool to earn Allah’s pleasure rather than allowing it to distract you from Him.
