THE QUR’AN: THE FINAL REVELATION
The Qur’an is the holy book of Islam and the final revelation sent by Allah to guide humanity. It was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) over a period of 23 years through the Angel Jibril (Gabriel).
The Qur’an is not just a book of rituals or stories; it is a complete guide for life. It addresses matters of faith, worship, morality, law, social justice, and personal conduct. It provides answers to the deepest questions of human existence and offers a clear path to success in this world and the hereafter.
One of the most unique aspects of the Qur’an is its preservation. From the time of its revelation until today, it has remained unchanged, word for word. Millions of Muslims around the world have memorized it in its entirety, making it the most memorized book in human history. This preservation is a fulfillment of Allah’s promise to protect His message.
The Qur’an also invites reflection. It encourages people to think, to observe the world around them, and to recognize the signs of Allah in creation. Its verses speak to the heart, awaken the conscience, and inspire a deeper connection with the Creator.
In addition to guidance, the Qur’an is a source of healing and mercy. It brings comfort to the believer, especially in times of difficulty, and serves as a constant reminder of Allah’s wisdom and care.
For a Muslim, the relationship with the Qur’an is ongoing. It is to be read regularly, understood, implemented, and reflected upon. The more one engages with it, the more clarity, peace, and direction they gain.
The Qur’an stands as a timeless message for all of humanity a light that never fades and a guide that never misleads.
