(VIDEO) HAJJ 2024: SCENES FROM MEDINAH AS PILGRIMS PERFORM ACTS OF WORSHIP ON FIRST DAY OF DHUL HIJJAH 1445

Devoted pilgrims engaged in acts of worship yesterday, Friday, June 7, 2024, as they began the holy journey of Hajj on the first day of Dhul Hijjah 1445 AH.

Dhul Hijjah 1445 A.H., the 12th Islamic month during which the Hajj pilgrimage is traditionally made, began yesterday, following the announcement of sighting Dhul Hijjah crescent by Saudi authorities, on Thursday.

The development means Hajj pilgrimage for 1445 AH-2024 will commence on Friday, June 14, with the day of Arafah falling on Saturday, June 15.

Muslim biggest festival, Eid Al-Adha, will be observed on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
