ANNUAL MOCK EXAMS: AMIS OYO CHAPTER TO CONDUCT 11TH EDITION SATURDAY, URGES PUPILS AGAINST MALPRACTICE

The Association of Model Islamic Schools (AMIS), Oyo State Chapter, has announced the date for the 11th edition of it’s annual primary mock exams.

The primary mock examination which is set to take place on Saturday, March 9, 2024, according to the Chief Examiner, Mallam Dhulkifli Abdul Azeez Olabiyi, aims at preparing students for external exams and to achieve outstanding performance.

Meanwhile, students are expected to sit for paper 1 (Mathematics, Quantitative Reasoning, Basic Science and Technology and Computer Studies) and paper 2 (English Studies, Verbal reasoning, Islamic studies and General studies).

The two papers start from 9am to 12:30pm.

The chief examiner added that the annual exam is also to unite all AMIS schools in order to promote Islamic heritage.

According to Olabiyi, over 12,000 candidates from all the 33 local government areas of the state registered for this year exam.

While he explained to the pupils that preparation for any examination is almost as important as the examination itself, he said “studying for examinations motivates us to do well and move forward in life.

“This mock examination marks the end of yet another extraordinary chapter in your lives. With this chapter closed, I am certain that many of you are already anxious about starting the next one because, unlike an English book, you cannot skip through the page of life to see what is on the next chapter.

“We all have our book of life that has not yet been written and every day that passes is another page that we write about ourselves.

“Luckily, as pupils from AMIS member-schools, you have been given the paper and ink. You need to write your own stories and with the help of God Almighty, your stories will become best sellers,” the chief examiner said.

He charged the students to desist from examination malpractice, saying “if there is anything to run away from as pupils, it is examination malpractice. It can kill your self-confidence.

“You have worked hard for your examination, so give it your best shot. Stay calm and be positive. Have faith in God. Keep achieving and making us proud. I am sure you will pass this examination with flying colours”, it added.
