ECONOMIC HARDSHIP: NASFAT CHIEF MISSIONER DIRECTS MEMBERS TO COMMENCE SPECIAL PRAYER FOR NIGERIA

The Chief Missioner of the Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society of Nigeria, NASFAT, Imam Onike, has called on members of the society to partake in the special prayers for the nation amid the current hardship and economic crisis facing the nation.

The statement read, “In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

“In view of the current economic reality in Nigeria that has made life uncomfortable for the citizenry and in realization of the truism as always in Allah’s (SWT) saying, “Say to them (O Muhammad): “My Lord would not care for you were it not for your prayer….”, (Q25:77) and “Verily, ALLAH does not change a people’s condition unless they change their inner selves,”

“I hereby enjoin every member of my society to:

“Improve your productivity and focus on high quality in all you do or produce. Even in these tough times, you should not cheat but rather help your neighbors and the needy near you and also, do not despair or lose hope, but pray to Allah for His mercies.

“You are to recite the following prayer after Salaat Fajr and Isha’ for the time being:

Bisimillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

1. Li-eelaafi quraish

2. Eelaafihim rihlatash shitaaa’i wassaif

3. Faly’abudoo rabba haazal-bait

4. Allazeee at’amahum min joo’inw-wa-aamanahum min khawf,

“Note that this ayah in verse 4 is to be repeated 111 times: At’amahum min joo’inw-wa-aamanahum min khawf.

“May Allah (SWT) alleviate our conditions,” it added.
