THE YOUNG PERSON WHO GREW UP WORSHIPPING ALLAH
Imagine being young and choosing Allah when everyone around you is choosing something else.
Choosing prayer when your friends are busy with other things.
Choosing modesty when people tell you that you are “too religious.”
Choosing good friends when bad company seems more fun.
Choosing halal when haram is easily available.
The Prophet (SAW) mentioned that among the seven whom Allah will shade on the Day when there will be no shade except His shade is: “A young person who grew up in the worship of Allah.” — Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim
This is a powerful reminder that your youth matters to Allah.
Being young is not an excuse to delay your relationship with Allah until you are older.
You may think, “I will become more serious about Islam when I am older.”
But who knows if you will get that opportunity?
Your youth is a special period. You have energy, time, opportunities and the ability to build habits that can stay with you for the rest of your life.
YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE PERFECT
Growing up worshipping Allah does not mean you will never make mistakes.
You may struggle.
You may fall into sin.
You may sometimes miss your prayers.
You may have days when your iman feels weak.
What matters is that you keep returning to Allah.
Don’t allow one mistake to make you think you are a bad Muslim. Repent, learn, get back up and continue.
YOUR YOUTH CAN BECOME YOUR GREATEST INVESTMENT
While others are only building their social media accounts, friendships and material possessions, build your relationship with Allah too.
Learn the Qur’an.
Guard your prayers.
Respect your parents.
Choose good friends.
Stay away from what Allah has forbidden.
Use your talents for good.
One day, you will look back and realize that the years you spent getting closer to Allah were never wasted.
HEART CHECK
Dear young Muslim, don’t wait until old age to become the person Allah wants you to be. Start now.
Your youth is passing, make sure it passes while you are walking towards Allah.
