WHEN YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE LIVING FOR

Sometimes you can be busy all day and still feel empty.
You wake up, check your phone, go to school or work, talk to friends, scroll through social media.
Eat, sleep, repeat. Days become weeks, weeks become months and suddenly you find yourself asking:
“What am I actually doing with my life?” That feeling may be a sign that you need to pause.
The world constantly gives young people things to chase:Money, beauty, followers, relationships.popularity and lots more
But none of these things can permanently fill a heart that is disconnected from its Creator.
Allah says: “Surely in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” — Qur’an 13:28
Maybe you’re not actually looking for another relationship.
Maybe you’re looking for connection with Allah.
Maybe you’re not desperately searching for more followers.
Maybe you’re searching for a sense of worth.
Maybe you’re not simply tired of life.
Maybe your soul is asking you to return to the One who created it.
DON’T BE AFRAID TO STOP
So don’t be afraid to stop and ask yourself difficult questions.
What am I chasing?
Where is my life taking me?
If I continue living exactly as I am today, where will I be spiritually in five years?
You don’t need to have everything figured out today.
Start with Allah with one sincere salah, one page of Qur’an, one sincere dua, one sin abandoned, one good deed just a step at a time.
Sometimes finding your purpose doesn’t happen all at once.
Sometimes it begins with simply returning to Allah.
YOUR YOUTH IS AN AMANAH: DON’T WASTE IT
Your youth is something you will never get back.
You may think you have plenty of time.
“I’ll become more serious about Islam later.”
“I’ll start praying properly when I’m older.”
“I’ll stop this sin eventually.”
“I’ll read Qur’an when I have more time.”
But who promised you tomorrow?
The Prophet (SAW) warned about the importance of taking advantage of five things before five others, including:
“Your youth before your old age…”
Your youth is an amanah—a trust from Allah.
And one day, that trust will be questioned.
Imagine reaching old age and wishing you could return to the days when your body was strong, your energy was high and opportunities were everywhere.
Don’t wait until your youth disappears before appreciating it.
Use it.
Learn your deen.
Develop useful skills.
Serve your parents.
Build good friendships.
Protect your salah.
Stay away from destructive habits.
Help others.
Make mistakes, repent and keep moving.
And don’t believe the lie that enjoying your youth requires disobeying Allah.
You can laugh.
You can have fun.
You can pursue your dreams.
You can build a career.
You can travel.
You can enjoy halal friendships and activities.
You can be young and still be close to Allah.
The goal isn’t to make your youth miserable.
The goal is to make your youth meaningful.
One day, you will look back.
Make sure you can say:
“Ya Allah, I wasn’t perfect, but I tried to use the youth You gave me for Your sake.
ARE YOU BUILDING A LIFE OR JUST PASSING TIME?
Think about how many hours you spend every day scrolling.
One video, another video, another then you tell yourself, “Just five more minutes.”
Suddenly, an hour is gone and then another.
But here’s the uncomfortable question: What are you building with your time? Because there is a difference between living and simply passing time.
You can spend years consuming other people’s lives while doing nothing meaningful with your own.
Watching people succeed.
Watching people travel.
Watching people become famous.
Watching people build businesses.
Watching people achieve their dreams.
But what are you building?
Your time is one of the greatest blessings Allah has given you.
And once a moment passes, you cannot buy it back.
Ask yourself:
What am I learning?
What am I becoming?
What am I contributing?
What am I doing for my akhirah?
Your life doesn’t need to look impressive to other people.
Maybe you’re studying quietly.
Maybe you’re learning a skill.
Maybe you’re memorizing Qur’an.
Maybe you’re helping your family.
Maybe you’re working on becoming a better Muslim.
These things may not receive likes.
But they may be extremely valuable to Allah.
Don’t spend your entire youth watching other people live.
Put the phone down sometimes, read, learn. pray, create, build, serve. dream then take action.
Because one day, you’ll realize that your life was made up of the moments you kept calling “just a little time.”
FRIDAY HEART CHECK
Don’t merely pass through this life without building something that will matter when this life is over.
