The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced significant new regulations for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage, introducing stricter service provider requirements and enhanced healthcare standards for pilgrims.

Under the new guidelines, each participating country will be required to designate a single service provider responsible for managing all pilgrimage arrangements. The move is aimed at improving coordination, strengthening accountability, and ensuring more efficient service delivery for pilgrims.

In addition, Saudi authorities have established a mandatory medical staffing ratio of one doctor for every 1,000 pilgrims. This measure is designed to enhance healthcare access, improve emergency response capabilities, and ensure the well-being of pilgrims throughout the Hajj season.

The new regulations form part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to enhance the overall Hajj experience, effectively manage the large number of international pilgrims, and maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and service delivery.

As preparations for Hajj 2027 begin, pilgrims, Hajj operators, and participating countries are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these updated requirements to ensure smooth planning and compliance.
