MULTAZAM: THE PLACE WHERE HEARTS POUR OUT TO ALLAH
The Multazam is one of the most beloved places around the Kaaba for pilgrims making du’a. Many who visit Makkah hope for a moment there, where tears, hopes, repentance, and private prayers are poured before Allah.
It is a place associated with humility and deep longing.
WHAT IS THE MULTAZAM?
The Multazam is the area between the door of the Kaaba and the Black Stone.
The word “Multazam” refers to clinging or attaching oneself. Historically, many pilgrims would place their chest, face, and hands against this section of the Kaaba while making sincere supplication.
WHY IS IT SPECIAL?
1. A Place of Intense Du’a
For centuries, Muslims have sought this area to beg Allah for forgiveness, relief, guidance, marriage, children, health, rizq, and acceptance.
2. Symbol of Neediness Before Allah
A believer stands there with nothing but dependence on Allah.
3. Emotional Peak for Many Pilgrims
Many pilgrims describe the Multazam as one of the most moving moments of Umrah or Hajj.
IMPORTANT BALANCE
While the Multazam is beloved, accessing it is not compulsory. Your Hajj or Umrah is complete without reaching it.
Do not harm yourself or others trying to get there.
