Modesty is not only about clothing.
It is also about how you speak, what you watch, how you behave and how you present yourself.
MODESTY IS MORE THAN CLOTHES
A young Muslim can dress modestly and still need to work on their speech.
A person can dress appropriately but behave arrogantly.
True modesty reaches the heart and influences our actions.
It can be seen in:
The way you speak.
The things you post online.
The way you interact with the opposite sex.
The content you watch.
The jokes you make.
The way you carry yourself.
DON’T LET SOCIAL MEDIA DEFINE YOUR MODESTY
Social media can make attention feel like success.
The more likes you receive, the more you may feel pressured to reveal more of yourself.
But your worth is not measured by views, comments or followers.
You don’t need to expose everything about yourself for people to appreciate you.
HAYA IS A BEAUTIFUL PART OF FAITH
Modesty does not mean being shy about doing what is right.
It means having enough awareness of Allah to avoid what displeases Him.
It means knowing that your body, your speech and your online presence are all part of your responsibility before Allah.
HEART CHECK
Dear young Muslim, don’t let the world convince you that modesty makes you less valuable.
Your dignity is more valuable than attention. Protect your haya, protect your heart and remember Allah wherever you are.
