KHADIJAH رضي الله عنها: THE FIRST PERSON TO BELIEVE IN THE PROPHET ﷺ
When Prophet Muhammad ﷺ returned home after the first revelation, he was deeply shaken by what had happened.
He went to Khadijah رضي الله عنها and asked her to cover him. She comforted him and reminded him of the good qualities she knew in him.
She then took him to Waraqah ibn Nawfal, who recognised the significance of what had happened.
Khadijah رضي الله عنها became the **first person to believe in the Prophet ﷺ and support his mission.
Her story is important for young Muslims because it teaches us that supporting someone does not always mean having all the answers. Sometimes, it means standing beside them, encouraging them and helping them find the right guidance.
WHAT CAN YOUTH LEARN?
1. Be a source of support.
When someone you love is going through a difficult time, don’t always judge them. Listen and encourage them.
2. Character matters.
Khadijah رضي الله عنها trusted the Prophet ﷺ because she already knew his character.
3. Believe in what is right.
Khadijah رضي الله عنها did not follow the crowd. She recognised the truth and stood with it.
4. Women have an important role in the Ummah.
Khadijah رضي الله عنها was not simply the wife of the Prophet ﷺ. She was a woman of faith, wisdom, strength and sacrifice.
HEART CHECK
Khadijah رضي الله عنها teaches us that sometimes your greatest impact comes through the way you support someone who is doing something good. Be the friend who strengthens faith, not the friend who weakens it.
