YOU HAVE TIME… OR DO YOU?

“I’ll start later.”
“I’ll become more serious about my deen when I’m older.”
“I’ll start praying properly when life settles down.”
“I’ll repent tomorrow.”
We often speak about tomorrow as though it is guaranteed. But none of us has been promised another day.
Allah says: “And no soul knows what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul knows in what land it will die.” — Qur’an 31:34»
As a young person, you may have dreams, plans and many things you want to accomplish. That is good. But while planning for your future, don’t forget to prepare for the Hereafter.
Your youth can easily become filled with school, work, relationships, entertainment, social media and the pursuit of money. Before you realise it, years have passed.
The question is not whether you have time.
The question is: how are you using the time Allah has already given you?
If you have been delaying your salah, start today.
If you have been distant from the Qur’an, open it today.
If you have a sin you keep returning to, ask Allah for help today.
You don’t need to wait until you become perfect before you start becoming better.
The Prophet ﷺ said: “Take advantage of five before five: your youth before your old age…”
HEART CHECK
Your youth is an opportunity. Don’t waste it believing you have unlimited time. Start now. Return to Allah now. Make your youth count now because, tomorrow is a hope not a promise.
