HAJJ SUPPLICATIONS AND ADHKAR: COMPLETE DUAS FOR EVERY STAGE OF HAJJ
One of the greatest strengths of Hajj is not just the physical rituals, but the constant remembrance of Allah through supplication (du’a) and dhikr. Every moment in Hajj is an opportunity to call upon Allah, seek forgiveness, and draw closer to Him.
This guide provides essential duas for each stage of Hajj, with Arabic text, transliteration, and clear meaning so that every pilgrim regardless of background can engage deeply in worship.
GENERAL PRINCIPLE OF DUA IN HAJJ
There is no restriction on what you can ask Allah during Hajj. While specific duas are reported from the Sunnah, you are encouraged to speak to Allah in your own words as well.
The Prophet ﷺ said that the best dua is the dua made on the Day of Arafah. This shows that sincerity matters more than memorization.
DUA WHEN ENTERING IHRAM
Transliteration:
Meaning:
Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Indeed, all praise, blessings, and sovereignty belong to You. You have no partner.
Repeat this frequently from Ihram until the stoning on Eid day.
DUA WHEN ENTERING MAKKAH AND SEEING THE KA‘BAH
There is no fixed authentic dua, but you may say:
Transliteration:
Allahumma zid hadha al-bayta tashrifan wa ta‘zeeman wa takreeman wa mahaba.
Meaning:
O Allah, increase this House in honor, respect, dignity, and reverence.
At this moment, raise your hands and make personal duas—it is a powerful time for acceptance.
DUAS DURING TAWAF
Between the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone:
Transliteration:
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanah wa fil-akhirati hasanah wa qina ‘adhaban-nar.
Meaning:
Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
For the rest of Tawaf, make any dhikr or personal dua.
DUA AT MAQAM IBRAHIM
After Tawaf, pray two rak’ah and recite:
Transliteration:
Wattakhidhu min maqami Ibrahima musalla.
Meaning:
Take the مقام إبراهيم as a place of prayer.
DUAS DURING SA’I (SAFA AND MARWAH)
At Safa and Marwah, face the Ka‘bah and say:
Then recite:
Transliteration:
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar
Meaning:
Allah is the Greatest… There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, without partner. To Him belongs the dominion and all praise, and He has power over all things.
Then make personal dua.
DUAS ON THE DAY OF ARAFAH
The best dhikr on this day:
Transliteration:
Meaning:
There is no god but Allah alone, without partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over all things.
Also increase in:
(Astaghfirullah)
(Sending blessings upon the Prophet)
Speak to Allah sincerely about your needs, your مستقبل, your آخِرَة.
DUA AT MUZDALIFAH
There is no fixed dua, but spend the night in dhikr:
SubhanAllah
Alhamdulillah
Allahu Akbar
Make quiet, sincere supplications under the open sky.
DUAS DURING STONING (RAMI)
With each throw, say:
Allahu Akbar
Allah is the Greatest
Maintain focus and humility this act symbolizes rejecting Shaytan.
DUA AFTER COMPLETING HAJJ
There is no fixed wording, but increase in gratitude:
Allahumma taqabbal مني
O Allah, accept from me.
Ask Allah to make your Hajj accepted (Hajj Mabroor), forgive your sins, and allow you to return again.
POWERFUL GENERAL DUAS TO MEMORIZE
Transliteration:
Meaning:
O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, grant me health, and provide for me.
FINAL ADVICE
Do not become overwhelmed trying to memorize everything. The essence of dua is sincerity. Even if you only say “Ya Allah” with a present heart, it is more powerful than long الكلمات without focus.
Use these duas as a foundation, but speak to Allah in your own language, your own pain, your own hopes.
Hajj is your moment. Make it count.
May Allah accept your duas, forgive your shortcomings, and grant you a Hajj Mabroor.
