SPIRITUAL DIGEST: RAMADAN DAY 19, SEEKING ALLAH’S ACCEPTANCE OF OUR DEEDS

On the 19th day of Ramadan, we are reminded of the sincere supplication of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Prophet Ismail (AS) while they were building the Ka‘bah:

“Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us. Indeed, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.”

— Qur’an 2:127

This beautiful du‘a teaches us a powerful lesson: even after doing good deeds, we should still ask Allah to accept them. The Prophets themselves, despite their sincerity and obedience, still turned to Allah with humility and hope.

As we approach the final third of Ramadan, this reminder becomes even more important. We may be praying, fasting, giving charity, and striving to increase our acts of worship  but the true success lies in Allah accepting those deeds.

Let today be a day to renew your sincerity. Pray with focus, give charity quietly, and increase your du‘a. Ask Allah not only to help you do good, but also to accept every effort you make for His sake.

May Allah accept our fasting, prayers, charity, and supplications, and allow us to witness the blessings of the last ten nights. Ameen. 🤲
