PRESIDENT BOLA TINUBU LEADS RAMADAN TAFSIR AT STATE HOUSE MOSQUE, CALLS FOR UNITY AND MORAL RENEWAL
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday led a special Ramadan Tafsir session at the State House Mosque in Abuja , urging Nigerians to embrace unity, peace, and moral renewal as the holy month progresses.
The spiritually uplifting gathering, attended by government officials, Islamic scholars, aides, and worshippers, focused on the values of self-discipline, compassion, and national cohesion as emphasized during Ramadan. The President described the holy month as a time not only for fasting but also for deep reflection, repentance, and recommitment to righteous living.
Addressing the congregation, President Tinubu stressed that Nigeria’s strength lies in its diversity and collective resolve. He called on citizens across religious and ethnic lines to promote harmony and reject actions capable of dividing the nation.
“Ramadan teaches us sacrifice, patience, and accountability. It is a reminder that beyond personal devotion, we must also renew our commitment to building a peaceful and morally upright society,” the President said.
He further encouraged Nigerians to use the sacred period to pray for the country’s stability, economic growth, and lasting peace. According to him, moral revival at both individual and institutional levels is essential for sustainable national development.
Islamic scholars present at the Tafsir session emphasized lessons from the Qur’an highlighting justice, integrity, and compassion toward the less privileged. Special prayers were offered for national unity, security, and prosperity.
The Ramadan Tafsir at the State House Mosque forms part of ongoing spiritual activities observed during the holy month, reflecting the administration’s recognition of faith as a vital pillar in national life.
As Muslims across Nigeria continue the fast, the President’s message centered on shared responsibility urging citizens to translate the spiritual gains of Ramadan into everyday conduct that strengthens families, communities, and the nation at large.
