DUA OF THE WEEK BY 3SIXTYISLAM: DUA FOR SUCESS

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا
Allahumma innee as’aluka ‘ilman naafi’an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa ‘amalan mutaqabbalan

O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure sustenance, and deeds that are accepted by You.

This beautiful supplication was frequently made by our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ  a powerful du’a that combines every core element of a purposeful, faithful life. It’s especially recommended to say this after Fajr, when the day begins and intentions are being set.

🌿 Why This Du’a Matters

This isn’t just a daily prayer  it’s a complete mindset reset. It prepares your soul for the day and your heart for the journey ahead. Let’s break it down:

📖 1. Beneficial Knowledge – عِلْمًا نَافِعًا (Ilman Naafi’an)

You’re not asking for just any knowledge  but for knowledge that benefits you in both this world and the next. Knowledge that guides your decisions, builds your character, and strengthens your faith.
It’s a plea for clarity, wisdom, and insight  knowledge that lives in the heart, not just on the tongue.

🔹 Ask yourself: What am I learning? Is it bringing me closer to Allah?

🍃 2. Pure Sustenance – رِزْقًا طَيِّبًا (Rizqan Tayyiban)

Rizq (sustenance) isn’t limited to money. It includes good health, peace of mind, halal income, nourishing food, loyal companionship, and so much more.
Tayyib means pure, wholesome, and blessed. You’re asking Allah not just to provide  but to provide in a clean, ethical, and peaceful way that carries barakah.

🔹 Ask yourself: Am I earning and living in a way that pleases Allah?

🕊️ 3. Accepted Deeds – عَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا (‘Amalan Mutaqabbalan)

We all do good deeds, but only the ones done with sincerity and correct intention are accepted by Allah. This part of the du’a reminds us that acceptance matters more than quantity.
It’s a call to purify our intentions, and to seek Allah’s pleasure in every act — whether big or small.

🔹 Ask yourself: Are my actions done sincerely for the sake of Allah alone?
