SPIRITUAL DIGEST: RAMADAN DAY 29 (A DU’A FROM SURAH AL-IMRAN)
The spiritual digest for Ramadan day 29 is a supplication from Surah Al-Imran (3:193).
رَبَّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَكَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئَاتِنَا وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ الْأَبْرَارِ
Rabbanaa faghfir lanaa dhunoobanaa wa kaffir ‘annaa sayyi’aatinaa wa tawaffanaa ma’al abraar.
Our Lord! Forgive our sins, remove from us our misdeeds, and cause us to die with the righteous.
This beautiful supplication is a heartfelt plea for forgiveness, purification, and a righteous end. It reflects a believer’s deep desire for Allah’s mercy and to be among the righteous in the Hereafter.
In this verse, believers acknowledge their past mistakes and sins, seeking three things from Allah:
-
Forgiveness of sins (اغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا) – Asking for Allah’s pardon for their wrongdoings.
-
Removal of their misdeeds (كَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئَاتِنَا) – Seeking purification from sins and their negative consequences.
-
A righteous death (وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ الْأَبْرَارِ) – Requesting to be granted an honorable end and to be counted among the righteous in the Hereafter.
