HISBAH ARRESTS SIX SUSPECTED CROSS-DRESSERS IN KANO

Six cross-dressers were detained by the Kano State Hisbah Board on suspicion of being homosexual in the Gaida neighborhood in Kumbotso Local Government Area.

Dr. Mujaheed Abubakar, the Deputy Commander General of Hisbah, revealed to reporters that the culprits were arrested when locals filed complaints.

He stated that every suspect has admitted to their crimes, begged for forgiveness, and promised never to commit the same crimes again.

Nonetheless, he promised that after the inquiry was over, the proper steps would be taken against them.

Meanwhile, the Katsina State Hisbah Board has destroyed and recovered alcohol and other illicit narcotics worth N60 million in the Funtua Local Government Area of the state.

Dr. Aminu Usman, the Hisbah Commander in the state, told the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, in Katsina on Sunday.

Umsan reported that 1,750 crates of alcohol and around 33 jerry cans of locally manufactured beer were recently seized and destroyed in Funtua.

The Hisbah commander went on to explain that the endeavor was part of Hisbah’s responsibility to ensure high morals among the citizens of the state.

While commending the board’s officers for their efforts, he asked them to renew their commitment to carrying out their responsibilities.

He also sought the assistance of the state’s religious leaders for the board’s success, claiming that Hisbah is not affiliated with any particular group or sect.

The Hisbah commander also praised Governor Dikko Radda for providing full support to the board in carrying out its duties.

Usman also urged the people to constantly provide the board with accurate information on locations where immoral activity was committed.

He urged parents, teachers, and community leaders to step up efforts to instill discipline and good morals in kids in their communities.

The activities of Hisbah have been pronounced lately in Katsina.

A few weeks ago, the board seized approximately 142 cartons of alcohol intended for delivery to Daura Local Government Area.
