According to Saudi Press Agency, SPA, the Makkah Route Initiative, implemented by the Saudi Ministry of Interior, continues to streamline pilgrims’ journeys from international airports in their own countries.
The ministry works closely with a number of partner agencies to carry out the program, which was established to make it easier for pilgrims to arrive in the Kingdom.
Inaugurated in 2017 as a component of Vision 2030, it comprises a specialized crew to greet the pilgrims and buses to ensure their safe and comfortable transportation through Makkah and Madinah.
Biometrics, computerized luggage coding, and Hajj permits are among the services offered.
