JUST IN: SAUDI-ARABIA TO COMMENCE RAMADAN FASTING TOMORROW
Authorities in Saudi-Arabia have announced the commencement of Ramadan fasting in the Kingdom, to coincide with Monday, March 11, 2024.
In a statement on the authorised social media handle of the two Holy Mosques, the Haramain; the statement read; “The crescent moon has been sighted in Saudi Arabia.
Therefore, Ramadhān 1445 will begin tonight.
“May Allāh ﷻ accept our siyām, qiyām & acts of worship and may He grant us the ability to utilise the precious moments of this Blessed month to engage in that which pleases Him. Aameen.”
Consequently, the Haramain also announced that Taraweeh prayers will commence at the two holy mosques after ishaa prayers today, and consequently named the presiding Imams.
The statement also announces Saturday, March 30th (Ramadan 21) as the first of the odd nights of seeking Laylatul-Qadr (the night of Majesty).
