THE HOUR OF ACCEPTED DU‘A ON FRIDAY: ARE YOU USING IT?
Every Friday carries a hidden treasure an hour so powerful that any sincere du‘a made within it is accepted by Allah. This is not a maybe. It is a promise conveyed to us by the Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad.
Yet, week after week, many Muslims let this opportunity slip by.
The exact timing of this special hour is not fixed with certainty, but scholars have highlighted two strong possibilities. One is the time between when the imam sits for the khutbah until the prayer ends. The other and more widely accepted is the last hour before Maghrib on Friday.
This means that as the sun begins to set, while many people are distracted with their phones, conversations, or daily routines, a powerful window is opening in which du‘a is being answered.
Imagine having a guaranteed opportunity every week to ask Allah for anything your forgiveness, your rizq, your healing, your future, your family, your akhirah.
But the key is sincerity.
This is not the time for rushed, distracted words. It is a moment to pause, raise your hands, and speak to Allah with full presence. Be honest. Be specific. Be hopeful.
Ask for what truly matters:
Forgiveness for your sins.
Guidance for your heart.
Ease in your struggles.
Barakah in your wealth.
Protection for your family.
Jannah in the akhirah.
Do not limit your du‘a. Allah is not limited.
Also, increase your chances by combining du‘a with other acts of worship. Engage in dhikr, recite Qur’an, and send abundant salawat upon Prophet Muhammad. These acts elevate your du‘a and bring you closer to acceptance.
One of the biggest mistakes is simply being unaware. When you don’t plan for this hour, you miss it. But when you prepare for it, your entire Friday changes.
Set a reminder. Slow down. Find a quiet moment before Maghrib. Disconnect from distractions and connect with your Creator.
Jumu‘ah is not just about attending the prayer—it is about seizing the moments that come with it.
Do not let this Friday pass without using the hour that could change your life.

If moments like this bring you closer to Allah, imagine standing in Makkah making du‘a in front of the Ka‘bah, or in Madinah sending salawat in the presence of the Prophet’s mosque.
At 3SixtyIslam, we help you turn that intention into reality with guided Hajj and Umrah packages designed for comfort and spiritual focus.
Your du‘a today could be the beginning of your journey there.
