SPIRITUAL DIGEST: RAMADAN DAY 20, PRAYING FOR PATIENCE AND A GOOD ENDING
As we reach the 20th day of Ramadan, we are reminded of the importance of patience and steadfast faith.Ramadan reminds us that patience is one of the greatest qualities a believer can possess. In this supplication from Qur’an (7:126), the believers ask Allah to pour patience upon them and allow them to die in a state of submission to Him.
Life will always come with tests difficulty, delay, disappointment, and uncertainty. But patience (sabr) is what strengthens faith during those moments. True patience is not just enduring hardship quietly; it is trusting that Allah’s wisdom is greater than our understanding.
The second part of the dua is even more powerful: asking Allah to let us die as Muslims. This shows that the ultimate success of a believer is not wealth, status, or comfort but leaving this world with faith intact.
As we progress through Ramadan, this dua teaches us to constantly ask Allah for two priceless gifts: patience in every trial and a beautiful ending to our lives.
May Allah fill our hearts with patience, strengthen our faith, and allow us to leave this world as sincere Muslims. Ameen.
