NAHCON CONCLUDES 2025 HAJJ RETURN OPERATIONS AS LAST FLIGHT DEPARTS FOR KADUNA

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has officially concluded the return airlift of Nigerian pilgrims from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia following the successful completion of the 2025 Hajj exercise.

The final return flight departed from Jeddah at 10:30 a.m. today, carrying 88 pilgrims from Kaduna State and one pilgrim from Katsina. This marks the end of the return leg of the Hajj operation, which spanned 20 days after commencing on the 13th of June.

In his farewell remarks, the Chairman of NAHCON, Professor Abdullah Saleh Usman, expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting Nigeria a smooth and successful Hajj operation. He attributed the achievement to the unity and cooperation of State Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, airline operators, service providers, and, most importantly, the pilgrims who adhered strictly to the laid-down guidelines.

Professor Usman encouraged returning pilgrims to remain prayerful, especially for the peace, progress, and stability of Nigeria. He reminded them that Hajj is not just a spiritual journey but an opportunity to build bonds that promote peace and harmony. He urged them to maintain the friendships and positive relationships formed during the sacred journey.

Accompanied by Commissioner of Operations, Prince Anofiu Elegushi; Secretary of the Commission, Dr. Mustapha Alli; Special Assistant to the President, Ameen Amshi; and other NAHCON staff, the Chairman offered prayers for the safe return of all pilgrims to their homes.

Professor Usman reaffirmed NAHCON’s commitment to continuously improving its services and operations in line with global best practices, ensuring a better experience for Nigerian pilgrims in future exercises.
