SPIRITUAL DIGEST: RAMADAN DAY 25 (A DU’A FROM SURAH AL-MA’IDAH)

The spiritual digest for Ramadan day 25 is a supplication from Surah Al-Ma’idah (5:83).

رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَٱكْتُبْنَا مَعَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ

Rabbanaa aamannaa faktubnaa ma‘a ash-shaahideen

Our Lord! We have believed; so write us down with those who bear witness (to the truthfulness of Islam). (Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:83)

This verse is part of a passage in Surah Al-Ma’idah (5:82-83), where Allah describes a group of people, particularly among the Christians, who upon hearing the truth of Islam, are deeply moved to tears and wholeheartedly embrace faith.

Their sincerity and humility lead them to supplicate to Allah, asking to be counted among the righteous witnesses of truth.

The phrase “those who bear witness” (الشَّٰهِدِينَ – ash-shaahideen) refers to those who testify to the oneness of Allah and the truth of Islam, showing their commitment to faith.
