SULTAN CONFERS ‘MAJIDADIN DAULAR USMANIYYAH’ TITLE ON PROF. ISA PANTAMI
The Sultanate Council, led by His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, CFR, mni, has conferred the prestigious traditional title of MAJIDADIN DAULAR USMANIYA on Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami), CON.
The conferment took place during the 11th Shaykh Usman ibn Fodiyo Annual Lecture held on 2nd November 2024.
Professor Pantami was the guest speaker at the grand closing ceremony of the lecture with the theme “Unity as a Panacea to Insecurity and Poverty: Lessons from the Sokoto Jihad Leaders.”
The title of MAJIDADIN DAULAR USMANIYA is in recognition of Professor Pantami’s exceptional service as a religious and political leader and his active participation in initiatives that align with the Sultanate’s vision of progress and welfare for the Nigerian populace.
The Royal Father also disclosed that Professor Pantami, who has been supporting him through thick and thin since he became the Sultan in 2006.
This honour reflects Professor Pantami’s outstanding contributions to education, public service, and community development in Nigeria.
Professor Pantami has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians, particularly through his efforts in granting scholarships to indigent students and facilitating job opportunities for qualified youth.
His leadership has positively impacted numerous individuals and families, fostering hope and advancement in various communities.
The Secretary to Sokoto State Government, Alhaji Bello Sifawa, who represented the Executive Governor of Sokoto State, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu, thanked the Sultanate Council for the well-deserved honor conferred on Professor Pantami.
He said that being a close friend and associate of Professor Pantami, he felt equally honoured.
