DON’T CHEAT YOUR WAY TO SUCCESS

Imagine getting the highest score in your class—but you cheated.

Imagine getting a job because you lied about your qualifications.

Imagine making money by deceiving customers.

Imagine winning a competition through dishonest means.

People may congratulate you.

They may think you are successful.

But Allah knows how you got there.

Allah says:

«“Woe to those who give less than due, who, when they take a measure from people, take in full, but when they give by measure or weight to them, they cause loss.” Qur’an 83:1–3»

SUCCESS WITHOUT HONESTY IS NOT TRUE SUCCESS

Young people can face pressure to succeed quickly.

Get the highest grade.

Get the job.

Make money.

Become popular.

Build the business.

But sometimes the pressure becomes so strong that people start believing that how they succeed doesn’t matter.

As long as they win.

But for a Muslim, the method matters.

DON’T CHEAT IN SCHOOL

Copying answers.

Paying someone to do your assignment.

Using someone else’s work and claiming it as your own.

Sneaking answers during an examination.

These may seem like small things, but they train your character.

If you become comfortable with dishonesty in small matters, bigger forms of dishonesty can become easier.

DON’T CHEAT PEOPLE IN BUSINESS

If you sell something, be honest about its condition.

If you make a promise, keep it.

If you receive someone’s money, fulfil your responsibility.

Don’t lie just to make a sale.

Halal income may seem slower, but it comes with barakah.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO WIN EVERY TIME

It is better to lose honestly than to win through cheating.

It is better to earn little through halal means than to become rich through deception.

It is better to receive an average grade honestly than an excellent grade through cheating.

Because your goal is not only to impress people.

Your goal is to please Allah.

BUILD A SUCCESSFUL LIFE YOU CAN BE PROUD OF

Work hard.

Study.

Learn skills.

Take opportunities.

Make du’a.

But keep your integrity.

Let people know you as someone who can be trusted.

HEART CHECK

Don’t sacrifice your akhirah for a shortcut to success. What is gained through dishonesty may impress people temporarily, but what is earned honestly carries something far more valuable: barakah.
