WHEN LOVE BECOMES A TEST OF YOUR IMAN

Love can be a blessing, but it can also be a test.

Sometimes, a person may find themselves caring deeply for someone, only to realise that the relationship is pulling them away from Allah. Salah becomes less important. Islamic boundaries become easier to ignore. Wrong actions begin to feel acceptable.

This is when we must ask ourselves an important question:

Is this relationship bringing me closer to Allah or further away from Him?

Allah says: “And know that your wealth and your children are but a trial, and that Allah has with Him a great reward.” — Qur’an 8:28

Many things in life can become tests—including emotions and relationships.

A relationship that encourages sin, weakens your iman or causes you to neglect your obligations to Allah is not helping your heart grow.

True love should inspire goodness.

It should encourage honesty, respect, patience and obedience to Allah.

Young Muslims should understand that choosing Allah over temporary desires is never a loss. Sometimes, walking away from something for the sake of Allah opens the door to something better.

The heart that puts Allah first will always find peace.

HEART CHECK

When love becomes a test of your iman, let your love for Allah guide your decisions, because no relationship is worth losing your connection with the One who created your heart.
