You don’t always need money to give charity.
Sometimes, all you need is a smile.
The Prophet ﷺ said: “Your smiling in the face of your brother is charity.” Jami‘ at-Tirmidhi
Think about how simple that is.
You may not have money to give someone.
You may not be able to solve their problems.
But you can still give them kindness.
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE A SMILE
Imagine walking into school feeling sad and someone greets you warmly.
Imagine having a difficult day and a friend looks at you and says, “Are you okay?”
Sometimes, a small act of kindness can completely change someone’s day.
Your smile may tell someone: “You are welcome here.” “I see you.” “You matter.”
BE KIND TO PEOPLE
Smile at your siblings.
Greet your classmates.
Welcome the new student.
Thank someone who helps you.
Encourage your friend.
Check on the person who seems quiet.
These things may look small to you, but they can carry great reward when done sincerely for Allah.
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
As a young Muslim, don’t think you have to wait until you are older or wealthy before you can do something meaningful.
You can start now.
Your character can be your charity.
Your kindness can be your charity.
Your smile can be your charity.
