BEFORE HE COULD SPEAK, WALK OR CHOOSE: WHAT THE PROPHET (SAW) TEACHES US ABOUT ALLAH’S PLAN
Before Prophet Muhammad (SAW) preached Islam…
Before he stood on Mount Safa…
Before revelation came to him…
Before people called him Al-Ameen (the trustworthy)…
There was a time when he was simply a child growing in the womb of his mother, Aminah bint Wahb.
He had not yet spoken a word. He had not yet performed a single deed that people could see.
Yet Allah had already chosen him for one of the greatest missions in human history.
And there is a powerful lesson for every young person in this.
YOUR BEGINNING DOES NOT DETERMINE YOUR END
Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was born into a situation that was far from easy.
His father, Abdullah, died before he was born. This meant that the Prophet (SAW) entered the world without ever meeting his father.
Imagine beginning life without the presence of a father.
Yet Allah had a plan for him.
This teaches us something important:
You may not have started with everything you wished you had, but Allah can still write something beautiful for your future.
Maybe you grew up with difficulties.
Maybe your family situation is not perfect.
Maybe you don’t have the money, connections, opportunities or support that other people seem to have.
Don’t conclude that your life is finished because your beginning is difficult.
The Prophet (SAW) teaches us that a difficult beginning does not mean a miserable ending.
ALLAH KNOWS YOUR FUTURE BEFORE YOU DO
While the Prophet (SAW) was still in the womb, nobody around him could have imagined everything that his life would become
They could not see the future.
They did not know that this unborn child would become the final Messenger of Allah (SAW). But Allah knew.
Sometimes, as young people, we become anxious because we don’t know what our future holds.
“What will I become?”
“Will I succeed?”
“Will I ever get married?”
“Will I get a good job?”
“Will my dreams come true?”
But remember:
You don’t need to know your entire future to trust the One who already knows it.
Your responsibility is not to control tomorrow.
Your responsibility is to live faithfully today.
DON’T COMPARE YOUR JOURNEY WITH SOMEONE ELSE’S
Social media can make it look like everyone else is moving faster.
Someone is already married.
Someone has graduated.
Someone has a business.
Someone has travelled.
Someone has a beautiful house.
Someone is financially successful.
And you begin asking:
“Why am I behind?”
But the Prophet (SAW) did not begin life with the same circumstances as everyone else.
Allah gave him his own journey.
And Allah gives each person a different journey.
Your timeline is not proof that Allah has forgotten you.
Sometimes Allah is preparing you through experiences you don’t yet understand.
BE PATIENT WITH THE PROCESS
The Prophet (SAW)’s life was filled with stages.
He was first a child.
Then a young person.
Then a shepherd.
Then a trader.
Then a husband.
Then, at the age of 40, he received revelation.
He did not receive the entire mission at the beginning of his life.
There was preparation before responsibility.
This is something young people need to understand.
You may be in your preparation season right now.
Don’t despise it.
The school you’re attending.
The skills you’re learning.
The character you’re developing.
The mistakes you’re correcting.
The patience you’re building.
The discipline you’re learning.
These things may be preparing you for responsibilities you cannot see yet.
YOUR VALUE IS NOT DETERMINED BY WHAT YOU HAVE
The Prophet (SAW) was born without his father.
He did not grow up surrounded by luxury and worldly power.
Yet Allah raised his status until billions of people across generations would love, honour and follow him (SAW).
So don’t measure your worth by your possessions.
Your phone doesn’t determine your value.
Your clothes don’t determine your value.
Your family background doesn’t determine your value.
Your bank account doesn’t determine your value.
Your relationship with Allah and the character you develop matter far more.
A MESSAGE TO THE YOUNG MUSLIM
You may not know what Allah has written for your future.
You may feel insignificant today.
You may feel like nobody notices you.
You may even be struggling with your circumstances.
But your current situation is not the complete story of your life.
The child who was once in the womb of Aminah (SAW) would grow to become the Messenger of Allah .
His story reminds us:
Allah can bring greatness out of circumstances that look ordinary to people.
So don’t give up on yourself.
Don’t give up on your future.
And most importantly, don’t give up on Allah.
Your story is still being written.

Trust Allah, build your character. Stay upon your deen and be patient with your journey.
You never know what Allah may bring from the small beginning you’re experiencing today.
