Have you ever made the same du‘a over and over again and wondered, “When will Allah answer me?”
Maybe you have been praying for something for weeks, months, or even years. You have cried about it, asked Allah sincerely, and still, nothing seems to be changing.
But young Muslim, don’t give up.
Sometimes, we become discouraged because we expect Allah to answer our du‘a exactly when and how we want. But Allah sees what we cannot see. He knows what is good for us, what will harm us, and what timing is best for us.
A delayed answer is not necessarily a rejected du‘a.
Perhaps Allah is preparing you for what you asked for. Perhaps He is protecting you from something you don’t know about. Or perhaps He has something better waiting for you.
So, keep asking.
Keep raising your hands. Keep speaking to Allah. Keep believing that He hears you, even when you cannot see the answer yet.
And remember: your job is to make the du‘a; Allah’s job is to decide how and when it is answered.
This Friday, don’t abandon that du‘a you’ve almost stopped making.
Make it again—with a heart full of hope.
Allah hears you. Keep asking. Keep trusting. Keep believing.
THE FRIDAY DU‘A YOU SHOULD NEVER FORGET
Friday is not just another day on the calendar.
It is a special day—a day to slow down, remember Allah, reconnect with your faith, and make sincere du‘a.
As young Muslims, we often have so many things on our minds: school, exams, relationships, friendships, money, career, family, our future and the pressure to figure everything out.
But sometimes, in the middle of all these worries, we forget the One who controls it all.
Allah.
So this Friday, don’t just ask for material things.
Ask Allah to strengthen your iman.
Ask Him to protect your heart from sins.
Ask Him to guide your friends and keep you away from bad company.
Ask Him to give you a future that is pleasing to Him.
Ask Him to forgive the mistakes you have made.
Ask Him to make you among those who love prayer and the Qur’an.
And ask Him for whatever your heart secretly needs.
You don’t need perfect words. You don’t need a complicated speech.
Just speak to Allah sincerely.
There is something beautiful about knowing that you can tell Allah everything—even the things you cannot tell anyone else.
This Friday, don’t forget to make du‘a.
Your heart may be carrying something that only Allah can fix.
YOUR FRIDAY IS INCOMPLETE WITHOUT THE QUR’AN
Imagine spending the entire Friday scrolling through social media, watching videos, chatting with friends and catching up on everything online—but barely spending a few minutes with the Qur’an.
How often do we do this?
We say we are too busy to read Qur’an, yet somehow we find time to spend hours on our phones.
Friday gives us an opportunity to pause.
It is a chance to put down the phone, quiet the noise and reconnect with the words of Allah.
For young Muslims especially, the Qur’an is not something we should see as an old-fashioned book that belongs only in the mosque or on our parents’ shelves.
The Qur’an is guidance for our lives.
When you are confused, it guides you.
When you are heartbroken, it comforts you.
When you are tempted by sin, it reminds you.
When you feel lost, it brings you back to Allah.
And on Friday, make an effort to read Surah Al-Kahf, as it is a well-known Sunnah associated with Friday.
You don’t have to read it in one minute just to say you finished it.
Read it with reflection.
Ask yourself:
What is Allah teaching me?
What can I change about myself?
How does this apply to the life I’m living today?
Young Muslim, don’t allow your phone to become the loudest voice in your life while the Qur’an becomes something you barely open.
Give the Qur’an a place in your Friday.
Your heart needs it more than your timeline does.
