RAMADAN DAY 21: THE MERCY OF ALLAH IN THE FINAL DAYS OF RAMADAN

As Ramadan begins to draw closer to its end, the last ten nights arrive with a special atmosphere of mercy and hope. These nights are among the most blessed moments of the entire year, filled with opportunities for forgiveness, spiritual renewal, and immense rewards.

Allah’s mercy is one of the greatest themes of Ramadan. Throughout this sacred month, believers are encouraged to fast, pray, give charity, and turn back to their Creator. Yet, even if someone feels they have fallen short during the earlier days of Ramadan, the final nights remain open doors of mercy.

The last ten nights are a powerful reminder that Allah always gives His servants another chance. No matter how many mistakes a person may have made in the past, sincere repentance can wipe away sins and bring a person closer to their Lord.

One of the greatest signs of Allah’s mercy during these nights is the presence of Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Decree. In the Qur’an, Allah describes this night as better than one thousand months. This means that a single night of sincere worship can carry rewards greater than a lifetime of devotion.

Because the exact date of this night is not known, Muslims are encouraged to seek it throughout the last ten nights. Each night becomes a new opportunity to pray, ask for forgiveness, and hope for Allah’s acceptance.

Repentance plays an important role during this period. Turning back to Allah with a sincere heart is one of the most powerful acts of worship. When a believer asks for forgiveness with humility and sincerity, Allah’s mercy is greater than any sin.

Another way to benefit from Allah’s mercy during these nights is through dua. Ramadan is a time when prayers are especially accepted, and the final nights carry even greater blessings. Believers should take time to ask Allah for guidance, protection, and success in both this life and the hereafter.

Acts of kindness and charity also reflect the mercy that Ramadan teaches. Helping those in need, feeding people who are fasting, and supporting charitable causes are all ways to share blessings with others.

The final days of Ramadan also encourage believers to reflect on their spiritual journey during the month. What lessons have been learned? What habits should continue after Ramadan ends? These reflections help ensure that the benefits of Ramadan remain long after the month has passed.

As these nights continue, Muslims are reminded that the mercy of Allah is always near. Every prayer, every dua, and every moment spent remembering Him is an opportunity for forgiveness and spiritual growth.

Ramadan may be approaching its end, but the doors of mercy are still wide open. The last ten nights are a gift  a chance to renew faith, strengthen devotion, and seek Allah’s forgiveness before the month departs.

May Allah shower His mercy upon us, forgive our shortcomings, and allow us to witness the blessings of Laylatul Qadr. Ameen.
