NAHCON CONCLUDES 2026 HAJJ ACCOMMODATION ARRANGEMENTS AHEAD OF SAUDI DEADLINES

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has successfully concluded accommodation arrangements for Nigerian pilgrims participating in the 2026 Hajj, securing lodging in both Makkah and Madinah ahead of the deadlines set by Saudi authorities.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NAHCON, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, announced the development while informing stakeholders, pilgrims, and the general public that the accommodation uploads have been completed and duly approved by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

This milestone follows the clear directive of the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Kashim Shettima, GCON, who emphasized the need for all critical Hajj preparations to be finalized within approved Saudi timelines to protect Nigeria’s operational interests.

Professor Usman expressed appreciation for the Vice President’s consistent guidance and support throughout the process. He also acknowledged the collective efforts of the high-level delegation to Saudi Arabia, the NAHCON Board, the Nusuk Masar team, the leadership of the Forum of State Pilgrims Welfare Boards, NAHCON staff, and other key stakeholders who contributed to the successful completion of the accommodation process.

With this achievement, Nigeria is now counted among countries that have met this crucial requirement within the stipulated timeframe. NAHCON has therefore moved confidently into the next phase of operational preparations for the 2026 Hajj, reinforcing its commitment to delivering a smooth, timely, and well-coordinated pilgrimage experience for Nigerian pilgrims.
