THE WEEKEND CHECK-IN: HOW STRONG IS YOUR IMAN?
As the weekend arrives, it’s the perfect time to pause and take stock not just of our work or social plans, but of our spiritual state. In the rush of daily life, it’s easy for acts of worship to become routine or for our hearts to grow distracted. The weekend offers a precious window to realign, reconnect, and refresh our iman (faith).
Take a moment to reflect:
- How consistent have your prayers been this week?
- Have you guarded your tongue from idle talk, gossip, or negativity?
- Did you make time to open the Qur’an, even for a few verses daily?
- How often did you pause to remember Allah amidst your busy schedule?
These questions aren’t meant to discourage, but to inspire. Iman fluctuates sometimes it soars, other times it dips. What matters is being aware and intentional about nurturing it.
Use this weekend to set simple, sincere goals:
Make extra dhikr after prayers.
Read a few pages of Qur’an with reflection.
Reach out to someone with kindness or forgiveness.
Guard your time and tongue from distractions.
Let your weekend be more than rest let it be a spiritual recharge. By Monday, may your heart feel lighter, your faith stronger, and your connection with Allah deeper.
