TWO PASSENGERS PASS AWAY MINUTES APART ON SAUDI FLIGHT RETURNING FROM HAJJ

In a heartbreaking turn of events aboard a Saudia Airlines flight headed to Surabaya, Indonesia, two passengers lost their lives just an hour before landing on June 20, 2025. The individuals, aged 67 and 85, were not traveling together and had no relation to one another. It’s believed one suffered from complications related to high blood pressure, while the other may have experienced a cardiac event.
A doctor onboard, joined by several physicians returning from the Hajj pilgrimage, quickly responded to assist. Despite their efforts, both passengers became unresponsive and could not be revived. The incidents occurred just minutes apart, leaving many fellow travelers stunned as the flight continued on to its destination.
Both passengers were from Bangkalan in East Java, a region that has now recorded four Hajj-related losses this year-one prior to departure, another during the pilgrimage, and these two on the return journey. Their remains were respectfully transported home for final arrangements.
