The Dawah Front of Nigeria, an Islamic propagation and social engineering organization, has thrown its weight behind Professor Ishaq Oloyede, Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), praising his leadership and transparency in the aftermath of technical challenges during the recent Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

In a communique issued by the group’s National Coordinator, the Dawah Front lauded Prof. Oloyede for “his bravery in taking responsibility for the technical glitches (which also occur in developed countries) experienced during the UTME,” calling his forthright national broadcast “a testament to your commitment to transparency and good governance.”

The statement highlighted Oloyede’s reformist track record, noting that under his stewardship JAMB has instituted measures to ensure fairness and curb malpractice.

Your conduct and willingness to take responsibility even when it was difficult is a hallmark of exceptional leadership,” the group said, adding that attempts to undermine him in the wake of the examination hiccups are “baseless and motivated by selfish malicious interests.”

The Dawah Front urged Nigerians to rally behind the Registrar’s ongoing efforts to “sanitize JAMB and restore the credibility of the examination process,” stressing that Oloyede’s openness about the system’s minor imperfections “in no way diminishes his stellar performance” but rather “sets a high standard for others to follow.”

Concluding its message, the organization called on all stakeholders to support measures that will build a “more transparent and accountable system that benefits our youth and the nation as a whole.”
