SAUDI IMPOSES SAR100,000 FINE FOR ISSUING VISIT VISAS TO INDIVIDUALS WITHOUT HAJJ PERMIT

The Ministry of Interior has issued a stern warning regarding violations of Hajj entry regulations, declaring that a fine of up to SAR100,000 will be imposed on anyone found applying for any type of visit visa on behalf of individuals attempting to perform Hajj without an official permit.

This penalty also applies to those who enter or stay in Makkah and the holy sites during the restricted period from Dhu Al-Qi’dah 1 to Dhu Al-Hijjah 14, 1446 AH.

According to the Saudi kingdom, the fine will be calculated per individual involved, meaning violators could face significantly higher penalties depending on the number of unauthorized pilgrims linked to the visit visas.

The ministry stressed that these regulations are critical for maintaining the safety, security, and overall wellbeing of pilgrims, as well as for ensuring the smooth and organized conduct of the annual pilgrimage. Citizens and residents are strongly urged to comply fully with the guidelines and to support the Kingdom’s efforts to manage the Hajj effectively.

Additionally, the Ministry called on the public to actively participate in safeguarding the sanctity and order of Hajj by reporting any suspected violations.
