SAUDI ARABIA PREPARES MOSQUES FOR EID AL-FITR PRAYER
Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Asheikh, has ordered ministry branches across the Kingdom to ensure Eid Al-Fitr prayers are held in all designated prayer areas, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Extensive preparations have been made to accommodate worshipers, ensuring both mosques and open-air prayer areas are ready for the occasion.
While Eid prayers will be conducted in all mosques, exceptions apply to those near designated Eid prayer areas or rarely used mosques in some villages, where residents will utilize local prayer spaces.
The minister’s directives emphasize early preparations, maintenance, cleanliness, and service availability to create a peaceful and spiritually uplifting experience.
According to SPA, Eid prayers across the Kingdom will commence 15 minutes after sunrise, following the Umm Al-Qura calendar.
Saudi Arabia has 19,887 mosques and prayer areas, all prepared to welcome worshipers with a serene and well-maintained environment.
Authorities have also implemented strict cleaning and sterilization protocols, along with comprehensive maintenance of electrical systems, air conditioning, and audio equipment, to ensure optimal comfort during prayers.
