SPIRITUAL DIGEST: RAMADAN DAY 21 (A DU’A FROM SURAH AL-A’RAF)
The spiritual digest for Ramadan day 21 is a powerful d’ua from Surah Al-A’raf (4:47).
This verse comes from Surah Al-A’raf (7:47), where Allah describes the people of Al-A’raf—those who will be in between Paradise and Hell on the Day of Judgment.
They will recognize both the people of Jannah and the people of Hell. When they see the people of Hell, they will turn away in horror and make this heartfelt supplication to Allah:
رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ
Rabbanaa laa taj’alnaa ma’al qawmiz zaalimiin
(Al-A’raf 4:47)Our Lord! Place us not with the wrongdoing people.
This shows their fear of being associated with those who disobeyed Allah and ended up in Hell.
