SPIRITUAL DIGEST: RAMADAN DAY 6 (A DU’A FROM SURAH AL-MA’IDAH)
By: Ajape Sefiu A., Adedeji Monsurat A.
The spiritual digest for Ramadan Day 6 is a supplication from the Holy Quran (Al-Ma’idah 5:114), made by Prophet Isa (Jesus, AS) when his disciples (Hawariyyun) asked him for a miracle—a table of food sent down from heaven—to strengthen their faith and reassure their hearts.
Allah accepted their request but warned them that if they disbelieved after witnessing such a divine sign, they would face severe punishment.
Rabbana anzil alainaa maaidatan mmina ssamaai takuunu lanaa indal awwalinaa wa’aakirinaa
wa’aayatan minka warzukna wa’anta kairu raazikiin.
O Allah, Lord and Cherisher of us all! Send down to us a tray of food from heaven, that it may become a day of rejoicing for all of us, from the first to the last, and (let it be) a sign from You. Provide for us, for You are the Best of Providers.
(Al-Ma’idah 5:114)
