BREAKING: SAUDI ARABIA TO ALLOW ONLY 50,000 UMRAH PILGRIMS INTO THE GRAND MOSQUE
Authorities in Saudi Arabia have announced that only a maximum of 50,000 pilgrims will be allowed to offer prayers at the Grand Mosque in Mecca during the holy month of Ramadan.
This was announced on Tuesday evening as part of preparations for the Muslim month of fasting. The statement read, “capacity of Grand Mosque in Makkah to raise to 50,000 vaccinated Umrah pilgrims and 100,000 worshipers daily during Ramadan”.
Earlier on Monday, the authorities had announced that only pilgrims who have received at least the first dose of the COVID19 vaccination will be allowed to perform the lesser hajj pilgrimage (Umrah)
