WHY DOES DHIKR BRING PEACE TO THE HEART?

We live in a world full of noise.

Notifications.

Messages.

Music.

Videos.

Conversations.

Deadlines.

Worries.

Sometimes your body is resting, but your mind is still running.

So where does the heart find peace?

Allah gives us the answer:

«“Unquestionably, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.”
(Qur’an 13:28)»

THE HEART NEEDS ALLAH

Just as your body needs food and water, your heart needs its connection with Allah.

You can entertain yourself for hours and still feel empty.

You can talk to hundreds of people and still feel lonely.

You can achieve something you have wanted for a long time and still feel like something is missing.

Why?

Because the heart was created to know and remember its Creator.

DHIKR DOESN’T HAVE TO BE COMPLICATED

You don’t always need a long session.

You can say:

SubhanAllah.

Alhamdulillah.

Allahu Akbar.

La ilaha illallah.

Astaghfirullah.

You can make dhikr while walking, travelling, waiting, cooking or doing simple tasks.

The goal is not simply to move your tongue.

Let your heart remember the One you are praising.

WHEN YOU ARE WORRIED

The next time anxiety about your future begins to overwhelm you, pause.

Breathe.

Remember Allah.

Make dua.

Say Hasbunallahu wa ni’mal-wakil — Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs.

Dhikr does not mean that every problem disappears immediately.

It means that while facing your problems, you remember that you are not facing them alone.

HEART CHECK

How much space does remembrance of Allah have in your ordinary day?
