NAHCON ANNOUNCES 2025 HAJJ FARE, SOUTHERN PILGRIMS TO PAY N8.7M
Borno and Adamawa Zones To Pay N8.3M Northern Zone To Pay N8.4M
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the 2025 Hajj fare, with intending pilgrims from the Southern states required to pay N8.7 million.
Pilgrims from the Borno and Adamawa zones will pay N8.3 million, while those from the Northern zone are to pay N8.4 million.
This was disclosed by NAHCON’s chairman, Prof. Abdullahi Usman, in a statement released on Monday in Abuja by the commission’s Assistant Director of Information and Publication, Fatima Usara.
Prof. Usman explained that the fare was determined after extensive consultations with key stakeholders, including the presidency and state pilgrims’ boards.
The statement read, “The 2025 Hajj fare for Borno and Adamawa zone’s intending pilgrims is N8.33 million. Similarly, the cost for intending pilgrims from the Southern states is N8.78 million, while pilgrims from the Northern zone will pay N8.46 million.
“This modest effort was achieved after extensive consultations to ensure inclusivity in the decision-making process”
Prospective pilgrims were advised to adhere to Saudi guidelines, register early, and make timely payments to avoid inconveniences.
