HOME IS WHERE YOUR CHARACTER IS TESTED
It is easy to be nice when everyone is watching.
The real test comes when you are tired, angry or annoyed.
How do you speak to your mother?
How do you treat your father?
How do you behave towards your younger siblings?
Do you help at home without being asked?
Do you apologize when you are wrong?
These small things reveal your character.
YOUR FAMILY DESERVES YOUR KINDNESS TOO
Don’t think kindness is only for your friends.
Help your parents.
Share with your siblings.
Speak gently.
Be patient when someone makes a mistake.
Don’t make your younger brother or sister feel unwanted.
And if you disagree with your parents, learn to express yourself respectfully.

You don’t need to wait until you become an adult to develop good character.
Start today.
Wash the dishes.
Help with chores.
Ask your parents how their day went.
Say “JazakAllahu khayran.”
Say “I’m sorry” when you are wrong.
Make dua for your family.
The way you treat your family is part of your Islam.
