You had a plan.
You thought you would have graduated by now.
You thought you would have the perfect job.
You thought you would be married by a certain age.
You thought your business would have succeeded.
You thought you would be further ahead in life.
But sometimes, life doesn’t follow our plans.
And when it doesn’t, disappointment can make us question everything.
The Qur’an gives us a powerful reminder:
“Perhaps you dislike something and it is good for you, and perhaps you like something and it is bad for you. Allah knows and you do not know.” Qur’an 2:216
YOU DON’T ALWAYS KNOW WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU
There are things you desperately wanted that Allah didn’t give you.
At the time, you may have thought:
**“Why is Allah saying no to me?”**
But later, you may discover that what you wanted would have harmed you.
There are also things you disliked that eventually became a source of growth, wisdom or blessing.
Allah sees what you cannot see.
STOP THINKING YOU ARE BEHIND
Everyone has their own timeline.
Don’t allow social media to convince you that you are late.
Someone may marry before you.
Someone may buy a house before you.
Someone may get a job before you.
Someone may become successful before you.
That doesn’t mean Allah has forgotten you.
Your journey is not supposed to look exactly like someone else’s.
TRUST ALLAH’S KNOWLEDGE
This doesn’t mean you should stop working towards your goals.
Make plans.
Study.
Work.
Apply.
Build your business.
Improve yourself.
Make du’a.
But while you work, remember that Allah knows what you don’t know.
Sometimes Allah changes your direction because He knows where the road leads.
WHEN YOUR PLAN FAILS, DON’T LET YOUR FAITH FAIL
You may not understand why something happened today.
That’s okay.
You don’t have to understand everything to trust Allah.
Keep making du’a.
Keep doing your best.
Keep your heart connected to Allah.
And remember:
A closed door is not always a punishment. Sometimes it is protection.
HEART CHECK
You may not have the life you planned yet, but that doesn’t mean you won’t have a beautiful life. Trust the One who knows what you don’t know.
