HEALTH – AMANAH: RAMADAN DAY 9

Ramadan is a month of worship, reflection, and spiritual growth not exhaustion. Islam teaches balance in every aspect of life. Allah ﷻ does not desire hardship for His believers; rather, He encourages ease and moderation.

The Prophet ﷺ emphasized this principle throughout his life, reminding us that devotion should not come at the cost of our health or well-being. Here are some hadiths that highlight Islam’s concern for believers:

1. “The religion is easy, and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way.”
Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 2, Hadith 39

2. “Take care of your body, for you will be asked about it.”
At-Tirmidhi

3. “Do not harm yourself or others.”
Ibn Majah

These teachings remind us that fasting is not meant to weaken the body, but to discipline the soul. Eating well during Suhoor, breaking your fast with moderation, and resting adequately are all part of observing Ramadan in a healthy, sustainable way.

Spiritual Reflection:
Islam encourages a balanced approach nurturing both the body and the soul. When we care for our health, we can worship more effectively, think more clearly, and serve others with greater energy and compassion.
