RAMADAN IS CLOSE DON’T LET YOUR HEART ARRIVE LATE

Ramadan does not announce itself loudly. It approaches quietly, like a guest who waits to see if they are truly welcome.

The calendars are marked. The mosques are preparing. Social media is already filling up with Ramadan plans. Yet the real question remains: is the heart preparing, or only the schedule?

Many people enter Ramadan physically present but spiritually absent. The fast is observed, but the heart remains distracted. The Qur’an is recited, but it does not descend into the soul. Not because they don’t care but because preparation was postponed.

Ramadan rewards readiness.

Allah tells us that guidance is for those who are conscious of Him. Taqwa doesn’t switch on overnight. It is cultivated gently, intentionally, before the moon is sighted.

This is why the righteous predecessors welcomed Ramadan long before it arrived. They didn’t wait for the first night to soften their hearts. They began with repentance, with reflection, with small but sincere changes.

Preparation does not mean perfection.

It means pausing today and asking yourself:
What habit is quietly pulling me away from Allah?
What sin have I normalized?
What good deed have I delayed for “Ramadan” instead of starting now?

A single act of sincerity before Ramadan can transform the entire month.

Reduce the noise.
Loosen your attachment to distractions.
Return to short du‘ā’, even if it’s only whispered.
Open the Qur’an, even if it’s just a few verses.
Give charity now, before the crowds remind you.

Ramadan magnifies what already exists in the heart.
If the heart is alive, Ramadan revives it.
If the heart is neglected, Ramadan passes like any other month.

This is your moment not tomorrow, not the first fast, not the first night of Tarawih.

Today.

Welcome Ramadan by welcoming Allah back into the center of your life.
The month is generous to those who prepare for it.

اللهم بلغنا رمضان وبارك لنا فيه
